Never watch "Priscilla" it is a fairy tale from his xwife who was executive Productor and a bunch of Bull. As an Elvis fan since 1956 she and I are the same age. She nearly wrecked Elvis life and her own daughter. Her book and movie is pure fiction. Her own daughter Lisa tried to stop the movie saying it was not a representation of her father and made her mother look a martyr when in fact she Left Elvis for her married karate instructor and robbed him and her daughter of almost every cent they had. I believe Positive Role Model was dropped from the later productions due to the cost of the Barry White sample it was built around. Though frankly they could've just dropped the sample and kept the song. I'm pretty sure I remember a remix that actually did just that at the time. Regarding the book, lets not forget this was coming from Harvey straight off the back of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, which was hugely successful and really the same kind of trashy humor as this. Though it may not 'pass' today, frankly what does anymore, everyone is offended by everything these days. I seem to remember buses covered with 'It's a disgrace' advertising the first time around, so it was thought of in the same way even back then. We've all been trashy gays at some point in our lives lol While the music is great, the lyrics too are equally as cringey as the book in places...it's great, I'm straight...I'm looking at you. I agree we are yet to find the perfect production of this, hopefully someday someone will take the task on properly and give us the definitive production and tidy up the book and lyrics. Also there was lap dancing in the original production at the Arts, as both myself and my very straight brother-in-law both received one on separate occasions from a very young Louis Spence who bounded off the stage onto us in the front row!

Is the sound different and up dated or is it the same versions than before ?

I really struggled with this one. Having loved FEMME I was excited to see another film tackle the subject matter. However I just felt this film tonally a mess. The shifts from romance to down right horrific at points just seemed a bit too sudden for me, I never fully brought into the chemistry of the two leads, and I just felt there was so much more that could’ve been explored/wrapped up that was left hanging (how would having Ayesha in his life affect the son? What happened to the son’s mother? What would his mate think of the whole situation?). I think that this could’ve worked better as a mini series that let you delve into all the elements setup and on display here, as some scenes and elements really did work for me, such as the first intimacy between our two leads and our lead coming out to his mother. As said, really wanted to enjoy this one, but it just didn’t stick the landing for me. This in part also might not be helped by the fact that FEMME really stood out for me as such a tight concept and story, where the pace was constantly flowing with an intriguing setup, whereas after the initial “encounter”, it takes 30 mins just for our leads to interact again - and even then, they’re not doing anything to push the plot forward, it’s meandering. So dissapointed… I really wanted to give this one love but it just didn’t do it for me.

I’d like to see a retrospective on this documentary considering the updated information on the mortality rate of Covid and the usefulness of mask. Also the fact that it was predominantly democrats pushing the closures of mom and pop businesses. I have a sneaking suspicion that this won’t happen.

The initial vagueness of sci-fi horror NEW LIFE might frustrate some, but feature length debutant John Rosman delivers an intriguing watch.

Loved loved loved it. It's not genre cinema but think it is still horror because cinema doesn't have easy categories. Cinematography does bring back memories of Joyland which suggests Pakistan are starting to produce interesting styles of films

Brillaint film. Saw it at the London Film Festival. Love how the signing and dance worked together. Also formidable soundtrack that is on Spotify!

Tori vocally does remind me of Kate at times.. is what it is. Both fantastic special talents.

Kiah Roache-Turner's Sting doesn't deliver anything fresh for fans of creature features, but it is good fun!

Bleek and boring

I found this film intense and gross but I think I liked it but I didn’t love it. What an amazing first feature!

The way she talks at random tangents (eg at 9:20 - 9:30) is exactly how Kenny Everett used to burble on. I wonder who influenced who

Pandemonium has some really interesting things going on but it soon becomes cluttered after a really successful start.

Fascinating insight guys. Found it heartbreaking, disturbing and charming in equal measure. My only reservation (and its petty) some of the 90s references were very on the nose- here is Blind Date and CK One)
